Marina Surgan has been the Principal pianist for Canada's National Ballet School since 1986. Born in the former Soviet union where she was classically trained in Moscow, Marina immigrated to Toronto in 1975 and joined NAB in 1978. Highlights of her creative career include:
Marina has given numerous concert performances and in December of 2006 recorded her first CD titled "Marina Surgan - Live"
In June 2007 Marina recorded her second CD titled "20 Greatest Classical Variations"
Marina published Sheet Music to her CD "Marina Surgan - Live" in 2008, and in 2009 recorded her 3rd CD titled "Marina Surgan - Live 2"
In January 2010, Marina published the sheet music to her CD "Marina Surgan - Live 2"
In September of 2010, Marina's original compositions were used for an episode of the reality TV show "Battle of the Blades"!
Currently Marina is preparing to publish the sheet music for her CD, "Marina Surgan- Live 3"
