Sacred Garment is an exciting blend of
percussion, piano and some other instruments such as upright bass, Fender Rhodes
and organ.
There are 33 tracks in all and a run time of 74 minutes.
The album
contains music for a complete Martha Graham Technique class:
Floor Work,
Standing Center and Coming Across the Floor.
Some more advanced exercises such
as Falls on Seven and Eleven and The Pretzel are included.
Count info and explanation for each track is also included.
The album was created with the invaluable
assistance and advisement of Peggy Lyman Hayes,
former principal dancer of the
Martha Graham Dance Company and
current master teacher at the Martha Graham
Center of Contemporary Dance.
