From the CD insert: "In order to give you the opportunity to discover the concept Dance Art Productions, Laurent Choukroun offers you in this his first CD, improvised music for all possible "barre exercises", and other extracts taken from the huge classical ballet repertoire. He has taken pains to include music for steps for boys and point shoes work for girls.."

Laurent Choukroun is the pianist in charge of rehearsing ballet at the Paris Opera Ballet School. Additionally he is responsible for the training of pianists accompanying ballet classes as well as the preparation of the accompanying pianist state diploma. He has worked with numerous famous international ballet stars, and in close collaboration with Mademoiselle Claude Bessy, for many years. The CD is beautifully recorded on a Steinway piano.
