Besides playing for Huntingdon College as a Dance Accompanist, teaching piano at Heritage Academy for the Performing Arts, and playing the viola in both the Symphony Orchestra and a String Quartet, Lynette is active as a composer.
She has composed a Divertimento for Mandolin Orchestra which has been recorded by Douglas Back's "Fretworks". Several of her works for strings - A Seranade for solo viola and strings, "Hard Drive" for strings, a string quartet, and other works, have been well received. Her CDs, which she records herself, include : A Long Stretch of the Imagination, which is meditative music for stretching.
Lynette studied at the Royal College of Music in London with Sir Herbert Howells, and in her native South Africa with Ronald Stevenson. She has one college-age daughter.
