17 tracks of mixed styles for various dance routines
Instrumentation includes:

Doug Gurwell:  Piano, 6-string electric bass, synth bass, piccolo bass, trumpet, flugelhorn, Fender Rhodes on track 13, drum programming on tracks 1,5 and 13, and string and organ arrangements.

Gordon Peeke: Drums on all tracks except 1,5,and 13.  Percussion on tracks 7, 10, and 13.

Rich Wenzel:  Hammond B-3, clavinet on track 17, synth, string, horn and ambient pads.

Jeff Jorgenson:  Alto sax on tracks 5,8,10,13, 14 and 16.

Inner rhythms is the second of Doug's projects, done principally for the dance community, though totally great for listening.  

This time, many more genres have been included, and various meters, such as jazz waltz, 6/8., and 5/4.  Dance your socks off!

New Taste Jazz infuses rhythms, harmonies and melodic expressions from other genres of music from any region of the world, or completely fresh ideas, into a basic jazz concept in order to keep jazz interesting and going forward as it did for several decades.  In the more recent times, jazz seems to have closed its ears on such progress.  Please go along for the journey.
